$378 a month

is the gap between your repayment and the same loan at 5.44% — the lowest rate on this site — over 30 years.

Sample figures. The comparison rate above belongs to a fictional lender, so treat this as a worked example of the arithmetic rather than a quote.

Repayments assume principal and interest over the full term at the advertised rate and exclude fees. Comparison rates are based on a $150,000 loan over 25 years — the Australian standard — so they will not line up exactly with your own loan size.

How it works

Three steps, no sales call

  1. Set your numbers

Tell us the loan size, your deposit and whether you are buying to live in or to rent out. The table filters itself as you type.

  2. Compare the real cost

Look past the headline rate. We show the comparison rate, the ongoing fees, the upfront fees and the monthly repayment on your loan size — side by side.

  3. Enquire when you're ready

Found one worth a look? Send an enquiry and we will put you in touch. Nothing happens until you ask it to.

Why Beta Deal

Built to be read, not to harvest your details

Most comparison sites make you hand over a phone number before they show you a rate. We think that is backwards.

  • Rates visible before any form

Every number on this site is on the page. No gate, no "get your personalised rate", no callback.

  • Sorted by comparison rate by default

The honest ordering, not the one that pays best. Sort by whatever you like — the default is the fair one.

  • The exclusions spelled out

We say plainly what a comparison rate leaves out, what the calculators assume, and where our figures come from.

  • How we get paid, in writing

Comparison sites earn commission from lenders. Ours is disclosed on the about page, not in a footnote.

FAQ

Questions people actually ask

Does Beta Deal charge me anything?

No. Comparing loans and using the calculators is free. Comparison sites are normally paid a commission by the lender when a customer takes out a loan, which is why we show you how we are paid on our about page rather than burying it.

Are these real interest rates?

Not yet. Beta Deal is a new site and the rates currently shown are illustrative sample figures against fictional lenders, clearly marked wherever they appear. Once a live rate feed is connected, the tables will show real products and the sample notices will disappear.

Why is the comparison rate higher than the interest rate?

Because it includes most of the compulsory fees, not just the interest. It is the fairer number to sort by. Our guide on what a comparison rate actually tells you explains where it helps and where it misleads.

Do you show every lender in Australia?

No comparison site does. Some lenders do not distribute through comparison channels at all, and some products are only available direct or through brokers. Treat any comparison table — ours included — as a strong starting point rather than the whole market.

Is this financial advice?

No. Everything on Beta Deal is general information. It does not consider your objectives, financial situation or needs. Before applying for any loan, read the lender’s terms and consider getting advice from a licensed credit assistance provider.

Find out what you're overpaying

It takes about two minutes. Put in your loan size and current rate, and see where you sit against everything else on the table.
